Guided Meditation (GM)

Course Contents

Meditation is a profound and all-encompassing practice that incorporates various components, including YAM-NIYAM, ASANA, PRANAYAM, PRATYAHAR, DHARANA, DHYAN, and SAMADHI, collectively known as ASTANG YOG. Each of these elements plays a crucial role in facilitating inner peace and spiritual growth. YAM-NIYAM encompasses ethical principles guiding one's conduct, while ASANA focuses on specific body postures aimed at enhancing physical and mental well-being. PRANAYAMA involves breath control techniques to harness energy, while PRATYAHARA delineates boundaries between external stimuli and internal awareness. DHARANA involves concentration on a chosen thought or idea, while DHYAN deepens this concentration, leading to a state of heightened awareness. Finally, SAMADHI represents the ultimate state of meditative absorption, where the practitioner transcends the limitations of the mind to achieve a state of pure consciousness. There are three main methods of meditation: Sthool, Sukshma, and Jyotirdhyan. These methods are further subdivided into 21 different techniques, each designed to cater to varying levels of experience and proficiency. These techniques range from Sankirn Dhyan focusing on chanting and bhajan, to more advanced practices like Chakradhar and Nadyadhar, which require completion of prerequisite courses and are conducted online in groups or independently with a maximum of five participants. In our regular online sessions, we offer a comprehensive curriculum covering various topics such as chakras, the five elements (pancha mahabhute), naadi, vayu-upwayu (vital energy), and the influence of constellations on day-to-day life. The syllabus is meticulously crafted, drawing upon insights from scholarly studies and their correlation with modern scientific understanding. Through our knowledge sessions followed by practical exercises, participants are provided with the tools and guidance necessary to deepen their meditation practice, cultivate inner peace.
